In 2000, Angelina Jolie finally appeared in a blockbuster, Gone In 60 Seconds. She didn't do much in the movie, except for look sexy, but she was on the right track.

Then in 2001, Angelina Jolie became Laura Croft in Tomb Raider. The movie itself isn't anything to write home about, but Angelina Jolie's charismatic presence in the role was enough to shoot the box office numbers into the stratosphere, and make her a superstar at the same time.

Since that time, the sky has been the limit for Angelina Jolie.
